Location: Plaza, Kansas City, Missouri

Invented by: Ursula Von Rydingsvard. “Three Bowls” is 9 feet and 4in statue. Nelson Atkin’s Hall Family Foundation purchased it in 1999. I really thought this piece was fascinating but the first thing that came to mind when I took this picture was what was Ursula trying to tell us about this sculpture. Of course, I touched every inch of the wood, smelled it, examined it from top to bottom. It’s very hollow that’s the first thing I noticed when I touched it and the wood. I thought the wood was very unique.
